Pete, Thanks for joining in, hope to hear from you often. One distinct advantage to using the P90 when photographing ground hugging diminutive flowers is that the P90 has a swiveling LCD monitor which meant that Peter didn't have to lie on the ground but rather could sit.

Peter

Wow!! what a shot ...with a Coolpix P90?? and here I am looking to buy the D90.... or something close...Great eye Peter..!!

Sally

Absolutely magnificent. My camera is coming to Bloomington so you can show me how. I took some pictures today of a tree that is blooming beautiful pink/red flowers, however, they did not come out anything like these. Magnificent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary

Agreed, Claudia and Peter.....spectacular photos!
Happy Spring (finally, I hope)

Claudia

John, Peter took these pictures with a Nikon Coolpix P90 with a 24X optical zoom which is attached to the camera, ISO 100, 1/34.4sec at f/8.0. Lots of fun!

Barbara

These are outstanding photographs. There is some definite knowledge of how to use the camera without a doubt. Stunning!

What spectacular pictures. Would you be willing to sell them matted and framed.

Claudia

Deb, Peter's grinning ear-to-ear. Many thanks for your wonderful comment.

Debra Cobb

Wow, the crocus photos are gorgeous. I was going to take some photos of the croci in my balcony boxes. But my photography couldn't possibly compare!

John S

Kudos to Peter, very nice. What lens?

Martha

Wonderful.... I love the close-up. Very arty. Happy Spring!

Claudia

Nancy please feel free to paint them; we love seeing our work translated in different mediums. What do you work in?

Nancy Karp

Fabulous croci photos-they look like paintings-in fact I would love to paint them...first I have to get the beached whale vision out of my head.
