Organized in 1988, the East End Photographers Group (EEPG) is the longest exhibiting arts organization at Ashawagh Hall with the exception of the Springs Improvement Society. The EEPG is having its annual members' show this weekend at Ashawagh Hall. Each photographer is allotted 6 running feet of wall space and will show between three to six images. The show runs from Saturday, May 30th to Sunday June 7th. The Opening Reception will be tomorrow at the Hall between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Peter and I are both showing works at the show - Peter's are all on canvas and mine are all printed on metal. The variety we saw when we dropped off our pieces yesterday was wide and promises that the show will be captivating.
The Opening Reception will be fun with "Funk & Fusion" music on the patio from "Out East", but if you miss that and still want to view great images to music stop by the Hall on Wednesday between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to hear the "Acoustic Healing Music" of Gene Hamilton & Friends, or Friday between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for "Americana/ Folk Music" played by Job Potter & the Friends Band", or hear the "New Metal" music of "Volcan Destructol" on Saturday June 6th between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Normal gallery hours are weekends between 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. and weekdays between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Peter and I both joined the EEPG this year so this is our first showing with other photographers from the East End and we can't wait to get to know them and their work. We love spending time and sharing with like-minded individuals. Hope you join in the festivities.
