"Tunica Balloon Bash" is what they called it in Mississippi this past weekend. Was I there? No ... but my younger sister was and she's the source of our "semi-guest" post this week. She provided the entertainment and I'm providing a little text.
Tunica, Mississippi is about an hour away from Memphis, where my sister lives, and in a region of the state along the Mississippi River that has a concentration of casinos that have now sponsored this balloon event for two years in a row. Tethered rides, hot air balloon glows and people watching were on the calendar this weekend in Tunica. Sadly when my sister was there for the "fly over" of the balloons, the wind was apparently too strong so they didn't go up, but what you will see in this slide show is the fun and excitement of going to a hot air balloon event and what true fun it can be if you have a camera in your hand.
