Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton was the sight for the fourth annual Thank You Art Show sponsored by Hampton Photo Arts (HPA) in Bridgehampton. Once again it was a great success and so nice that it was spring in The Springs! The weather was perfect for the evening gathering, and sunny and bright the following Sunday, so the doors were flown open and people could enjoy the music of 27 East outside and in.

Peter submitted another of his surfers, this one from that "once-in-50-years" surfing day - July 24, 2009. He caught a surfer in a perfect barrel wave beautifully. HPA printed the image on metallic paper, mounted it on black foam board and finished it with an acrylic spray that rendered it like a painting. If you want to see more of his images, check out his SmugMug sight - petertooker.smugmug.com.

I exhibited one of my recent wave images, Blue Curl. I am in love with this wave and all its magical qualities, colors and textures. HPA printed the image on metallic paper and then mounted it on black foam board, and finished it with plexiglass which really accents the shimmering qualities of the water. The event was well attended, despite two other art shows competing for art-lovers attention.
It was such fun and as always we learned a lot. Thank you, Hampton Photo Arts.
