Weddings are always festive events. Everyone is happy with the promise of a bright future for the new couple and eager to share goodwill with one and all. Such was the case on a beautiful late summer day in Bloomington Indiana when my nephew married his beautiful bride.
The flowers were bright like the day and the dresses of the bridesmaids were striking in a color called spice.
The outdoor service was in the garden on an expansive green lawn under the embracing arms of an old oak tree, and harp music filled the air as guests congregated and took their seats. The ceremony was simple and wonderfully inclusive - even to those who could not be there. Families and friends shared prayers of support and love for the couple who are quite obviously in love and devoted to one another.
Here's a slide show created for family and friends to remember this wonderful day.
