A newborn baby always seems so magical to those of us who have so many years under our belts. They are so small, so completely reliant upon us for everything they need - a heavy burden one might think ... and yet, the care and feeding come naturally and the joy received from the simplest of things seem boundless.
Watching parents, relatives and close friends with a newborn is also entertaining, because everyone finds a different part absolutely irresistible. I, for one, love to get lost in their eyes - so honest, and full of wonder and curiosity.
A friend of mine cannot refrain from "blowing kisses" on a newborn's tummy,
and I recently watched a mother play endlessly with her new son's toes, untried and soft for now.
A newborn is a bundle of joy and the aggregate of his or her parts fills us all with happiness and hope.
You make me laugh. Can't wait to see pics, Charlie!
